I was fishing with my uncle in his boat near a deep rocky shoreline where lilly pads meet the open water and I casted the lure in front of the lilly pads and let it sink and just reeled. Then it hit and it fought so much I thought I hooked a pike. That is until we netted him and saw it was a giant smally.
