I was fishing below the White Rapids dam with light weight
tackle [6# test} I was fishing for small mouth bass when I thought I snagged some brush. I slowly reeled in and knew that I had a big fish on. I fought the fish for 20 minutes and
then got it in close enough to see that it was a musky. Sturgeon are caught frequently in this location but this was no sturgeon. After several strong runs, I managed to land the musky. I measured the fish and seeing he was over the 40 inch limit, I loaded it in my truck and headed home. I was so excited I drove the 7 miles home with my emergency brake on.
