Just a normal day wading the river. I caught this fish in a very obscure hole that I typically don't pay much attention too. It was about the 4th or 5th cast near some Tag Elder roots that ended up being the lucky cast that day. I had the fish mounted with actual lure I caught it with.
This fish missed the State of Michigan Master Angler Award by .4 oz. In Michigan a Brook Trout has to be at least 17" and at least 2 lbs. to qualify for the State master Angler Award. Nevertheless, she is a beauty.
