Mister Twister® with Salt Lures Testimonials

Carl Dieter – Local Pond, Ohio

Lure: FAT Tube

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

At 65 years old, I've done a fair amount of bank-beating, cast out a few lures here and there and have kind of got it to a point where I know where I'm fishing and what for to boot.
The Mister Twister Firetiger Fat Tube you people have developed is the very best texture and an excellent lure for my favorite fish, the largemouth bass. It's self acting animation in the water is so great that all I do is cast it out and let it do it's thing. Thanks guys. I love it.

Sam – Scotts Resivoir, New York

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Comidas are probably the best plastic worm that I have used. It attracts fish like crazy. It is a great lure and I find it better than some of the other brands. I recommend this product to anyone wanting to catch fish no matter what level of fisherman they are!

Tyler – Lake Travis, Lago Vista TX, Texas

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, White - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White)

I've caught many fish on this thing, It is the best bait I've ever used!

Fred Manzanares – Potomac River, Maryland

Lure: TUBO with Salt

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

I was fishing the river at a creek mouth in about 15' of water. I tossed the Tubo up stream and WHAM !!! A northern Pike about 32" crushed it and the fight was on. If you have large salamanders in your water systems I say get this tube and see what monsters take you for a ride.

Robert Dismuke – Guntersville Lake, Alabama

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I got a pack of these stick baits for being in a fishing tournament last year. This year 2009 I pulled them out when the bite was very slow.It ended up being the best of my best 5 ever,28lbs.I'll be buying more of the Comida now.The fall of the bait is different than no other.

Erich – Retention Ponds, Franklin, Wisconsin

Lure: Finesse Jig Worm

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I bought the yellow floater. In my first few casts I had a fish on. The entire year this was my bait of choice with hundreds of bass caught. My retreive was a fast twiching and when the bait came a few inches from the shore I let it die and then the whopper would slurp it up and dart off. In winter and colder months I fished slower and let the bait fall more often. This was one of my best baits (until the fish tore them up).

Derrick Broeckel – Northern Wisconsin Lakes, Wisconsin

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth

This is my favorite Mister Twister product. It is my best bass bait in my box for bed fishing bass. It takes a long time for this bait to fall, so when fishing deep beds it doesn't hurt to add a little weight to the bait. I like using a nail inserted into the back end of the lure. This makes the bait fall backwards, something bass don't see too often. This is also a great change up bait in summer when fishing topwater frogs in shallow weeds. If a bass misses I pick up a rod rigged with a weedless comida and throw into the hole made by the bass in the grass mats. The slow fall is deadly to any unexpecting bass, this is a situation that you do not want to weight this lure, the salt content is high enough that you don't need any extra weight. Another overlooked tactic is to fish this lure on a mushroom jighead in deep water, head size being as light as possible, I like 3/32 oz. Fishing structure with this bait is deadly, bass don't see alot of this kind of bait in deep water.

Derrick Broeckel – Northern Wisconsin Lakes, Wisconsin

Lure: FAT Tube

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth

This is an excellent tube lure for bed fishing bass in spring and also for deep water fishing for bass in summer. I like hot colors like the chartreuse color for bed fishing because it makes detecting strikes easier, when the lure disappears you most likely have a fish. Fish that time of year are more interested in defending there spawning grounds and not feeding, so natural color is less important. In summer I love the FAT Tube on a bite me tube jig head, the lighter the better. Fish this bait around fish cribs in lakes with very little cover and you will be suprised at the amount and bass you catch. Try to located these cribs with your depthfinder and mark them with a marker buoy right away to hold your spot. Use natural colors, my favorite being the watermelon seed color. It seems to match the crawfish color in alot of clear northern natural lakes.

Dee Murray – Wabassus Lake, Grand Lake Stream Region, Maine

Lure: Ribbon Tail

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth

The first time I used this product(Mister Twister Ribbon Tail) was Summer of 2007. They are wonderful lures. I have caught both largemouth and smallmouth bass using the Red Shad, which is my personal favorite. They are very durable and easy to rig, whether it is Texas style, Carolina, or drop shotting. I used the same worm all day without any need to change, and that included over a dozen bass and a couple pickerel, and we all know how pickerel can chew up lures. I highly recommend these lures to anybody. Best ones around.

Riddler – Withlacoochee River, Florida

Lure: FAT Tube

Fish Caught: Redfish

I use this bait when water temperatures drop and redfish are looking for a small, easy meal. Rig it on a light jighead and slowly drag and/or hop the lure around oyster bars and grasslines during the colder months when the redfish are more lethargic. Tubes are overlooked when it come to redfish, but this Exude Fat Tube will catch you fish.

Joseph Witte – Frankfurt Marina, Frankfurt, New York

Lure: TUBO with Salt

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I used the purple haze color and caught a 5.5 pound my first cast. I slammed big bronze backs and largemouths all day. Thanks Mister Twister staff. Keep reinventing the sport of fishing.

Neil Bodner – Rush Creek, Ohio

Lure: FAT Tube

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

It was the first time I had ever used a tube before and I did not have very much confidence in it at the time, but I figured for the heck of it I would keep using it. About ten casts into using it, I decided that I would drag it along the bottom. It only took two casts doing that to get a nice 18" largemouth mad enough. I have caught many more fish on this plastic, very highly recommended.

Jim F – Buffalo, Minnesota

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I switched from Senkos to Mister Twister Exude Comida - same action, more durable, and scented to boot. I boated 26 largemouth in one outing fishing Comida Texas-rigged weightless. They're for real!

Steve Burress – Washington State Pro Staff, Washington

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Don't limit this bait for only largemouth. I used the Comida on the Columbia River last spring for Smallmouth and it worked great.

I used it weightless and would throw it around large rocks and especially around footings for channel markers and wood jetties. If you can find a large culvert with water flowing into your river, lake, or reservoir, skip the Comida up inside the culvert and let it 'wash' out. Keep a semi tight line and watch for that line jump as it drifts.

Big Smallmouth love the Comida!

Tight lines.

SME8518 – Dallas, Texas

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

On a tough day at the local duck pond, with nothing caught all day, I pulled out a rootbeer colored comida. It took two casts and I had caught a nice 5 lb. largemouth bass.

David Jeon – Princeton, New Jersey

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

This is the best lure I've ever used in my life. In under an hour, I've caught more than ten 5-pounder bass in Lake Carnegie. I use the watermelon seed color.

Lure: 2¾" TwisterMite

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth

I have used the TwisterMite in bass tournaments for the past couple of seasons and found them to work very well in a couple of circumstances.

I use the TwisterMite as a split shot rig. When fish get tight lipped, rig a TwisterMite on a Finesse style hook ( I use the Gamakatsu Extra-Wide Gap Finesse) either with or without a weedguard. Place a split shot on your line about a foot above the bait and then shake it. Adjust the distance of the split shot for the desired action.

The other way is on a drop shot rig. Depending on the bottom composition, adjust your bait so it is up where the fish can see it. Another similar way to fish a TwisterMite is above a jig worked along the bottom.

Drop me a note with your success story.

Jeff W. Holloway – Monroe, Louisiana

Lure: 2¾" TwisterMite

Fish Caught: Crappie

My partner and I were fishing the Crappie USA tournament on Lake D'arbonne. It had come a frog choker then the fog had set in, then just at daylight another soaker. I had just picked up several packs of TwisterMites from The Old Bait Store in Monroe. We were catching fish but wanted some kickers. We each put on a TwisterMite and before we could count to ten we each had a nice slab. We qualified for the regional, it was my 4th trip and his first. I am sure glad Kenny had this product. It just goes to show you big baits can big fish.
