My Story
I saw this fish spawning with a hen under a small branch. The current was fast. But I could not get my spinner in front of the fish enough to get them to strike. So I got in the water and started jigging my Mepps behind the branch. Almost every time I let the spinner drop this buck would try to hit my Mepps. He must of tried to hit 5 or 6 times. I would set the hook too late because it was hard to see if the fish still had the spinner in his mouth or not. I finally got him to take it good enough to get a good hookset. I was a little late on my hookset but this fish held on to my Mepps long enough for me to catch him. Good times!
