G-Grub® & Sassy Grub® Testimonials

Ladislao Diego – Lake Monroe Spillway, Indiana

Lure: G-Grub®

Fish Caught: Walleye

Mister Twister G grubs worked very good this fall . Fished very slow of the rocky bottom produced some hogs. Color selection was green and black I added white to the tail to make it more flawless and yes indeed it worked like a charm. I would recommend this lure to any new angler fishing for walleye it's a no brainer.

David Love – Victoria Point Australia

Lure: Tri-Alive™ Sassy Grub®

I've been fishing Mister Twister in Australia for over thirty years and find the 3 inch Sassy Grub an excellent lure for our Australian flathead. The first time I fished them resulted in 16 fish with the largest over 70cm (28 inches). Check it out under "more fat flatties" on You tube.

Ron Kolde – Bear Lake, Espanola, Ontario , Canada

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth

I fished in eastern Ontario the past week, The 4" black G-grub was great for pike on most lakes we fished. The G-grub color that brought nearly smallmouth bass to the boat was the pumpkin pepper 3" or 4", I have never had a better day of smallie fishing ever! I ran out of these lures and any other plastic bait I could find did only OK, Needless to say, many more pumpkin pepper G-grubs on order!

Fish Caught: Walleye

On a day where we caught two walleye, I caught one of them on the white 3''G-Grub with a spinner. I will keep using them because they look extremely good and have a great action in the water. I will keep testing a few more times, couldnt be a better price either if you get the discontinued colors.

Thank You, So very much for bringing back this awesome lure which is like my old stand by lure the Curly Tail Meeny. I've prayed for the day that it would reappear again. This has to be the only plastic lure that will out fish any other plastic anywhere on the market !!!! This time I will stock up so that I will never run out again. It will catch any species out there.

Finally someone has brought back the Mr. Mean lure. I have had fantastic fishing days with the blue and chartruese G-Grub on the Potomac, Susquehanna, as small lake impoundment. I would like to know if you will be adding the silver coating on one side of the tail like the Mr. Mean lure. The little bit of flash resulted in hellacious hits on the initial drop when I used it years ago.

Incredible! Trying several hours to catch fish without any bite and changed the lure to Mr. Twister G-Grub and bang! 2 Walleyes in 5 Minutes on 2inch blue flake. My favorite lure! Try it!

Fish Caught: Walleye

My neighbor gave me a pack of the blue/silver to take on my 2008 trip and I caught more walleye on my sassy shad than any other lure or live bait . The others in the fishing party were not happy with me on that note
just wish that my retailers down here would carry these in there stores.

Fish Caught: Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White)

I have used this lure plenty of times and always had luck in many depths from shallows, to letting it sink to bottom. I bought the 2inch Mister Twister chartreuse G-Grub lure and when casting it into open water steady retrieve one fish nailed it. It was a good fight and the fish was around 2 pounds was a heavy fish. Recently I was fishing along an edge where this is a 2 foot bank that just drops straight down. I casted along the shoreline and let the lure sink and I started reeling. I felt the fish start biting so after it started taking out the line I set the hook. The fish put up a good fight at the beginning but I was sure it was a bass until I pulled it out of the water. It measured in at 16 inches. I cant wait to try these in the winter when crappie fishing starts.

Other soft plactics are obsolete to mister twister. I have used everyone. This new G-Grub is in a whole league of its own. It is THE BEST walleye plastic out there. Silktreuse is the most productive G-Grub in my experience. But there is many other fine colors to choose from. Fine colors that work and produce and thats all real fishermen want.

LEON JACKSON – LADUE RESERVOIR, AUBURN TOWNSHIP, Ohio

Lure: G-Grub®

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I ordered the G-Grub in a couple different colors. Well the day the order came in I had to get out and give them a try. I tied on the silktreuse colored one and the second cast "BAM" a nice 2lb largemouth and then about ten minutes later "BAM" another nice 3-4lb largmouth. I must say that I love the action on this bait. Another great job by the staff at Mister Twister.

I went back with the Sassy Grub and just as I thought, not only was I looking forward to using them, but the wallyeye loved hiting them. No live bait needed, they worked great. Thanks Mister Twister you made my trip. 2007 was a bang up year, can't wait untill 2008. Keep up the good work.

It is the best Grub I have ever used.

Lure: G-Grub®

Phenominal, period.
I gave a pack of pearl colored baits to a friend before he went to Florida, he fished from the pier every day. He told me he crushed the fish, all kinds of species. He and I fished the bait in the late fall and caught a ton of bass and a few pike. Great profile, a slow fall, good vibration.

Jeff Barns – South Carolina, South Carolina

Lure: G-Grub®

This is a wicked little grub! Catching fish is as fun as it is to watch these babies move thru the water! I use them on a jig head 1/8 oz 3/0 hook on a spinner with a 2 blade. Largemouth Bass, warmouth and even a 1 1/4 pound crappie sucked these sweet morsels up. Or just putting them on a jig head and casting it out with a yo yo retreat or just burning it thru shallow waters works well. Or Texas rigged with a MR TWISTER KEEPER hook with or without the weight as a jerk bait works well.

Now if MR TWISTER could make a few with two colors it would be great. Like a solid black color on the bottom or body and white on the ripple part of it or fin part of it. Or make some like white and black dot like the 3" grubs....

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Walleye

The G Grub was fished late last year at Broken Bow OK. This is deep pool lake with major drop offs. Fishing rocky side of drop offs, using G Grub and a carolina rig, the lure proved deadly for Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Walleye. Excellent vibration and action....looks like a combination between a grub and a leech. Great new design for a proven old winner.

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I fished this bait on Thanksgiving Day and we caught the fire out of the largemouth! (Yes, I fished Thanksgiving Day). Rig it the same way as a regular grub. The cool thing is that the fin on the back made the bait a little more weedless than the average grub. We threw it on a 1/8 and 1/16 (long shank) jighead and dragged it slowly. Green hue and also black.

Chuck – Chicago, Illinois

Lure: G-Grub®

This looks like a modified Mr. Mean plastic that was carried by Cabela's year ago and made by Mister. Twister. It is one of the best producing lures I've ever used and I can't thank you enough for reintroducing it in this form.

Fish Caught: Walleye

During a trip to cCnada this spring, I was using live bait and catching some walleye. My fishing partner started using the new SASSY GRUB he picked up on the way up to Canada. Just let me say when he was puting 5-7 fish in the boat to my 1, it didn't take me long to put on a SASSY SHAD and bingo what action. These walleye would hit it harder than live bait. Mister Twister you hooked me. On the way home we stopped and picked up several more packages of SASSY SHADS. look out walleye in 2007 i'll be back with SASSY SHADS. Thanks Mister twister you made my trip.
