Lure: Jig Spinners
Fish Caught: Pickerel
Using a Spinner form and a 32nd oz. Jig and split tail Grub, my first open water New Jersey Fish OF 2024 was a fine 26.5 Chain Pickerel. Great cold water Bait.Lure: 3" & 4" Hawg Frawg®
Fish Caught: Pickerel
I caught a nice fat 22" pickerel with a old black hawg frog i found in my husbands bag. Been using them since. Bass love them too! Just ordered more!Lure: 5" Magnum SinSation
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Pickerel - Pike, Northern
This product is great in thick cover. Very versatile lureLure: 4" & 6" Twister® Tail
Fish Caught: Bass, Striped
This started back in the early 70's. We were using buck tails with a white 6" twister as a trailer and caught hundreds of Stripers and Weakfish on this combo. Fast forward to 2013. I have tried many other lures over the years, but still go with this 6" twister. They also produce on their own with a jig head, although a Mylar buck tail with any light color twister trailer seems to be the most productive. BTW, I tried these Texas rigged, weightless at a local freshwater lake and the Largemouth also slam these. I just turned 60 and probably have my greatest fishing memories over the last 40 years using these 6" twisters. Good fishing to all!Lure: 2¾" TwisterMite
Fish Caught: Perch, Yellow
Using the natural color Twister Mite ,I have had success with Yellow Perch . I use a red Floating Jighead ,# 4 hook and a split shot 8" to a foot away from the hook .Works good .Lure: 5" FAT Curly Tail®
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
Best Grub I've found for largemouth. Perfect size and weight. They cast a mile. Lots of action even with a slow retrieve. If the bass are there, these will get them.Lure: Sassy Shad®
Fish Caught: Bass, Striped
When fishing inlets in NJ, the 4" Sassy Shad on a jig head is my go to lure. I've caught striped bass and big fluke with regularity on it and have seen weakfish well over 10 pounds taken on this lure. I'm a believer for life.Lure: Exude™ 4" Curly Tail Grub
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Perch, Yellow
The surprise fish of an April ice-out perch fishing trip was a hawg largemouth on a tiny purple Exude grub. I use live bait and tip it with the Teenies.Lure: Exude™ Cajun Crab
This is one of my "go-to" lures for big black fish. The Golden Crab and Sand colors are my favorite. Rig 'em on a jighead, cast near some rocks, and hang on for dear life!Lure: Tri-Alive™ Sassy Shad®
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth
Great lure for bass! The tail drives bass crazy and they really eat this bait up! The only fish you'll catch with these are lunkers. My favorite color is baby bass, and I think it is because of the chartreuse and brown/green mixed into it. Rig it onto a 1/4 oz. jig head, or rig it Texas or with a weighted keeper hook these baits catch!Lure: 1¼" Nymph
Fish Caught: Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black)
This is a great lure for slab crappie and monster bluegill. The most effective colors are chartreuse flake, and brown/yellow. Rig it on a 1/16 oz. jig head and vertical jig over structure, and hang on! The three tails wave up and down like tube, creating lots of action!Lure: 5" Comida
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
This is the best lure I've ever used in my life. In under an hour, I've caught more than ten 5-pounder bass in Lake Carnegie. I use the watermelon seed color.Lure: Tri-Alive Top Prop®
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
Caught a 4.9 lb bass on a Top Prop when many in our base club caught nothing.Lure: 6" Phenom® Worm
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth
I have been using Mister Twister Purple 6" Phenom Worms for the last 4-5 year now, it's the best preforming plastic worm that I use, it out preforms Zoom, Berkley Power Baits and Gulp. It's Plastic content is much more durable then its above mentioned competitors, yet it is soft enough not to loose its flexability and action. It will hold up to numerous Bass hookings and bite misses making it more economical
