Largemouth Bass Testimonials

Jay Mac – Sam Rayburn, Texas

Lure: 6½" Tri-Alive® Nightcrawler

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

These worms are unbelievable on a drop shot set up. I have been slaying the bass on these worms for the last 2 months. I bought all they had at tackle attic so now I am ordering directly from the site so I can keep fishing them.

Lauren Pulaski – Crystal Lake, Illinois

Lure: 6½" Tri-Alive® Nightcrawler

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I used to use all kinds of hard baits and I decided to try give these worms a try. I am a huge fan of Mepps and my Comet Combo came with a Mister Twister worm, so that is how I got introduced... THESE WORMS ARE A GREAT PRODUCT! I haven't caught as many largemouth bass on any other bait. I highly recommend to anyone! Take my word for it. I seem to catch most with the color Ayu-Ayu. Good Luck :)

Luke Cole – Green Lake In Caledonia Michigan, Michigan

Lure: 4½" Poc'it® Fry

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth

I cut this in half and use it for a ned rig with the 3/32 oz. Mule Jig, and it is the best plastic I've ever used on a ned rig. I haven't used it this way yet but it would go great on a wacky rig or Texas rig. The air pockets give you a very unique presentation that is absolutly worth it.

JJames – Lake Walton Hutsonville L, Illinois

Lure: 3" Sassy Grub

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Musky - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye

So glad to see these are back. My go-to lure. One of these on a jig head with a jig spinner is my absolute favorite combination. My last Mister Twister order had 4 100 count bags and I'm running low. Now I just need the CAN-US border to open again (covid) so I can place an order for pick up in NY State. I was getting worried because my inventory is getting low and the product was discontinued. Thank you Mister Twister for bringing this product back.

Lure: Electric Fisherman™ Fillet Knife

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, White - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow - Trout, Rainbow - Walleye

I have had my knife for about 6 years now. It has filleted a very good amount of fish. Just this afternoon filleted nearly 50 big slab crappie. I'm very pleased with the knife. It has worked very well. The only complaint I have is that after about 10 fish I noticed the blades where getting gummed up. I recommend this knife to anyone looking for an easy way to fillet a bunch of fish. The make fast work of getting the job done.

I have been using Mr. Twister lures for years and have gotten my two best fishing buddies to switch over to the brand.

When I am fishing, there is nothing better than a 2.5 inch sassy shad in white pearl and black.

This lure catches everything from bass in small Missouri creeks to Walleye and Pike in Minnesota. I buy them by the hundred cause I know I am going to be sharing them when I am fishing with friends.

Jospeh G – Central Indiana Lakes, Ponds, And Rivers, Indiana

Lure: 1¼" Micro Crawfish™

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Sunfish (shellcracker)

If you love to panfish and don't have a couple packs of micro craws then you are missing out. These little guys work so well you won't want to put them down I promise!! My family and I have absolutely slayed big panfish this year along with the occasional 1-2 pound bass. I wouldn't be surprised if this bait caught a record panfish in the near future. 10/10 recommend Mister Twister Micro Craw. I pair them with a 7 foot ultralight, 4 pound line, and a 1/64 jig

Phil – Washington County, Utah

Lure: 3½" & 4½" Platinum Curly Tail®

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Thank you Mister Twister for your products.

I have been an avid fisherman for more than 40 yrs.
Zoom products have always been my soft bait lures. I can't say enough about my success with their products.

I have recently been using Mister Twister grub lures for about six months and I'm impressed with the results.
The Platinum curly tails are now my go to lure for bass. They hold up well and they float. I can now retrieve my lure when the bass fling them off of the hook. So far they are outproducing all my other lures.

I will be trying out Mister Twisters trout lures this winter in lakes, streams and resevours.

Thanks again, Phil South Utah waterways

Ian Anderson – Minnesota

Lure: 3" Meeny™

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Walleye

I always have an assortment of colors with me and I always tie one on sometime during the day because I consistently get bites.

Brandon Turner – Orangevale, California

Lure: 6" Phenom® Worm

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

This worm started it all for me and it's still not finished. I was 14 years old when a fellow fisherman I met on a farm pond gave me 2 of these worms to try. It was the first time I used soft baits and after 26 years I am still using them. After all this time I've learned that you don't need a massive arsenal of different fishing lures because a select few of the right ones, including the 6" Phenom Worm will do the job. Thank you for the success Mister Twister!

David Wendell – Kennebec River/Sebasticook River, Waterville, Maine

Lure: 1" Lil' Bit™

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Catfish, Channel

The Lil Bit is one of the best lures you can fish. Sure I've caught bass galore on these, but that's not what I really use these for. These Lil Bits on a small (1/4 to 1/8 Oz.) jig head are LETHAL on Shad! When they show up in mid May it's not unusual to put 30 to 50 fish EACH through the boat! That's a hundred fish in an afternoon. I have the pictures to back this claim up too. What a ball! I can't recommend these highly enough. Pink and Chartreuse are the hot tickets. We buy them in the hundred bags. A great value for the money. PS, we fish these on 10 lb test Power Pro braided line for the feel and hook setting ability. Enjoy!

Robbie Kile – Texas,Any Lake Pond Creek Or River, Texas

Lure: 2" & 4" Double Tail

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Striped - Bass, White - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Catfish, Flathead

The 2inch Black Double Tail on a simple jig head worked fast like a frog or slow to mimic a crawfish is a great lure for all seasons. The green pumpkin is also a great choice. Its the first lure of my choices to tie on.

Josh Fox – Lake Isabella, Michigan

Lure: 4" & 6" Twister® Tail

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Crappie (Black) - Pike, Northern - Walleye

We have been using yellow mister twisters for years, this Memorial Day I caught a sneaky 29" Northern Pike on a little yellow twister, it's just the best lure ever made.

Greg Yates –

Lure: Mag 12" BUZZ Worm

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Simply put, the new BUZZ Worm is incredible! Big bass can't refuse the unique swimming action. Using my GoPro cameras, I've witnessed the underwater action firsthand and I can assure you, there's nothing in its league

Zach Hughes – Lake Fork, Texas

Lure: Mag 12" BUZZ Worm

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

A big, long worm with the action this style of tail puts out has been a game changer for me this summer. It’s a bait that bass haven’t seen before and they flat out eat it. For the heat of the summer months, the Mag 12 BUZZ Worm has been my go to bait for giant Lake Fork Texas Bass.

Bigbill – Northeast, Connecticut

Lure: Top Prop®

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Pickerel

You can fish this bait by reeling it slow at a steady speed or do a 1-2-3 rip n pause. When on the pause it will almost go vertical this is a great postition for topwater strikes. This is one of my best topwater baits in the weeds, over submerged weeds or in the pads.

Patrick Olheiser – Lake Ann, Minnesota

Lure: 5" FAT Curly Tail®

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Pike, Northern

Paired with Lethal Weapon swim jig as a trailer best lure out there.

Bill Shoopman – Montrose Wildlife Area, Missouri

Lure: 5" Poc'it® Phenom®

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim)

The 5" Poc'it Phenom is my go to bait. The body of the worm holds up fish after fish and the tail has tantalizing action as it works it's way through cover and on the drop. I like to use several different colors (black/blueflake blue, junebug red, red black core)but the color I have been doing the best on lately is the black neon. Recently, I caught a nice 5 lb bass and a 6.5 lb bass plus several nice keepers with this color in a span of several hours. I like to use a 3/16 oz worm weight and Size 2 wide gap worm hook Texas rigged.

Ron Keller – Pocomoke River, Maryland

Lure: 6" Phenom® Worm

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Back in the 70's I was heavy into Bass fishing small impoundments on the farm. the black/ chartreuse was my favorite rigged on #1 keeper hook. I have recently returned to my roots of Bass fishing( several yrs spent offshore and salt water fishing)I just purchased all new sets of Mister Twister 6" phenom worm along with #1 keeper hooks. two weeks ago I found an old tackle box with the last of set up I used over 30 yrs ago and I tore up the bass for an hour before the lure gave up on me. I can't wait for this order to arrive!!

Todd Keaton – Roanoke, Virginia

Lure: 6" Phenom® Worm

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I have been using these worms for over 30 years. This is the only worm that will NOT twist your line when rigged with a straight shanked hook. I have tried other copies and molded my own like this and there's just something about the original that none can copy! Even helps if you boil them in water for about 30 seconds to soften them up and lay them straight to cool. Then put them in a box straight so they have the best action and no line twist. Best used with 2/0 hooks.

Joe Carpenter – Quitman, Louisiana

Lure: 5" Comida

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

This is by far the most versatile luers I've ever used I don't know how many bass I've caught on it over 4 lbs. It's great around docks, grass, brush,Cypress trees it works everywhere. It's become my all around go to pladtic!

Gary Phillips – Mercer, Pennsylvania

Lure: 3" & 4" Hawg Frawg®

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Best frog in the business! Black 3 inch is my favorite color.

Greg Yates – Oak Point, Texas

Lure: 4" BUZZ Bug

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I've been using Mister Twister baits since 1974 and I can honestly say that the new BUZZ BUG could be their best offering yet! The BUZZ BUG has no limitations. It excels as a jig trailer because the legs are actually long enough to provide incredible amounts action without getting interference from the jig skirt. The BUZZ BUG is equally as effective as a flipping/pitching bait. The narrow profile lets the BUZZ BUG penetrate the thickest cover with ease. Don't just take my word for it, try the BUZZ BUG today!!

Caitlin Berchtold – Clayton, Delaware

Lure: 6" Phenom® Worm

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Almost Any Species

I've always used these lures, I even questioned an employee at Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday on why they no longer carry them. The other night some of the neighborhood boys were teasing me for using a rubber worm but a few minutes later I reeled in a 4lb largemouth bass which beat their 1/3 lb largemouth bass that they caught on a bobber with a minnow. Even a few nights ago I was fishing with one of these and the bass were going crazy for them, but not for what my 3 friends were throwing. I was the only one who brought in any fish that night. I absolutely love these lures and won't fish with anything else. I even just sent some to my boyfriend in the mail because he was asking me how I was always catching more fish than other people.

As a Fisheries Management major, as well as someone who works at an aquaculture facility, I endorse these lures 100%.

Joel Bernier – Clinton, Massachusetts

Lure: 5" SwimSation

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Was out yesterday at a new fishing spot near me, on my 4th cast a LMB exploded from the water to nail the bluegill Swimsation... over the next 30 minutes I landed 2 more and a couple Pickerel. I cannot say enough good things about this bait, I plan to order more! Mister Twister lives up to the tag line "Catch More Fish, More Often"

John Spirnak – Western Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania

Lure: Jig Spinners

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I use the Mister Twister Spinner, 1/4 and 1/8 OZ Jig Head, and 2.5 and 3" Sassy Shad as my "GOTO" lure for locating bass on PA Lakes. Also, for smallmouth in rivers and streams. On a trip to OBX - Oregon Inlet, it worked on several sea Trout and a Gar. Over the past 30 years, this combo remains a staple in my tackle box. I use it with confidence when fishing new waters.

Jonathan Jarrell – Private Pond, Georgia

Lure: 2¾" TwisterMite

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I was raised believing live bait was the only way to fish. As I grew older, however, I learned about plastic lures. Mister Twister was my go-to for lures and supplies. I recently ordered some lures from Mister Twister, including the TwisterMite. Once out on the pond I decided to try the TwisterMite and, BAM, two largemouth bass one right after the other. I have never had that kind of performance out of other generic brands. Thank you, Mister Twister, for providing fishermen like me an amazing resource for successful lures!

Tim – Pond , Virginia

Lure: 5" FAT Curly Tail®

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Used the Mister Twister black/chartreuse tail on a circle hook and fished it slowly at first speeding up as it got closer to shore. Caught 9 bass in one night with this bait.
